VINCE CABLE’s former chief of staff, Alex Davies, has been promoted to Director at purpose-led and award winning communications agency, Higginson Strategy.
Davies first joined Higginson Strategy three years ago as Associate Director to focus on public affairs, policy, and thought leadership for the agency’s growing range of clients.
Alex has worked on integrated public affairs and communications campaigns for organisations as diverse as the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI), plastic replacement innovators Xampla, and real estate investors Castleforge.
He will now take on additional responsibility for developing and recruiting Higginson Strategy’s growing team of staff across London and Manchester offices. The company now has 18 staff and expects to take on more in the coming financial year.
In his Chief of Staff role, Davies was responsible for advising on political and media matters throughout Cable’s leadership of the Liberal Democrats. With more than 15 years’ experience in the Commons and Lords, he has worked to amend legislation and to hold successive governments to account.
Outside parliament, Alex also supported a range of campaigners on democratic reform, human rights, and civil liberties through the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Limited.
Founded in 2017 by former political journalists John and Clodagh Higginson, Higginson Strategy is a B-Corporation certified agency with offices in London and Manchester.
