A Plastic Planet

Challenge: A Plastic Planet came to Higginson Strategy six years ago to help them raise awareness of the plastic crisis. We have worked with the organisation ever since. ​While its mission gained great traction in the press, A Plastic Planet needed support with amplifying its messaging via social media, particularly on LinkedIn.

Solution: Higginson Strategy coordinated a social media communications strategy that worked alongside its PR and public affairs work. By producing regular, ad-hoc news commentary on LinkedIn, Higginson Strategy helps A Plastic Planet deliver its crucial messaging in the fast-paced world of social media.

Outcome: Higginson Strategy has helped to organically grow A Plastic Planet’s LinkedIn from 0 to over 25,500 followers. In the past five years followers have grown by 500%. Due to its large following and cutting-edge content, A Plastic Planet has become a go-to voice for the latest plastic updates.

Xampla

Challenge: Creators of natural polymers for replacing plastic packaging, Xampla wanted to grow its social media presence and attract a targeted audience of potential clients and expert staff.

Solution: ​Higginson Strategy created a coordinated social media strategy with a pillared approach to demonstrate Xampla’s purpose-driven work, positive company culture and educate followers on its drop-in technology. With a clear strategy and process, Higginson Strategy developed a steady weekly flow of varied content across each platform, and weekly community engagement outreach.

Outcome: In 2023 alone, Higginson Strategy organically increased Xampla’s followers by 32% to 5,112. Thanks to Higginson Strategy’s overarching communications work and social media management, Xampla dramatically increased its public profile, continually gained engagement from its partner brands, generated new leads and hired expert staff.

Green Biofuels

Challenge: GBF came to Higginson Strategy in 2022, struggling to connect effectively with its target audience on social media and generate leads.

Solution: Higginson Strategy created a tailored social media strategy aimed at expanding GBF’s presence on LinkedIn and Instagram. By capturing new followers and striking a balance between self-promotion and insightful commentary on pertinent environmental news, the overarching goal was to position GBF as a prominent authority in the realms of sustainability and clean air.

Outcome: In one year, Higginson Strategy organically grew GBF’s follower count by 96%, receiving 190,000 impressions, 8,500 clicks and 4,500 reactions. Thanks to this growth, GBF gained increased engagement from potential and existing clients who followed the brand for its business and policy updates.
