Events
Hosting impactful events is a powerful strategy for building meaningful relationships, showcasing expertise, and influencing key stakeholders.

1 – Strategy
Higginson Strategy begins by aligning with your organisation’s objectives to craft a tailored event strategy that meets your specific goals.
Based on this, we develop a comprehensive event proposal, outlining objectives, target attendees, success metrics, and plans to sustain momentum beyond the event.
2- Execution
Higginson Strategy will deliver a seamless event experience, handling all logistics from start to finish. This includes venue coordination, guest list management, outreach, photography, videography, and press materials. You’ll receive regular updates alongside a weekly call to stay informed at every step.
Your dedicated account team will provide in-depth briefings on each target attendee, ensuring you’re well-prepared for confident and meaningful introductions.
Where appropriate, we’ll arrange for targeted broadcast media to attend, amplifying your message and broadening your reach. We’ll also engage with print journalists to secure follow-up stories, maximising your impact.
3 – Reporting
After the event, we’ll provide a comprehensive report detailing attendee engagement, media coverage, and the event’s overall impact. We’ll also outline actionable next steps to help sustain momentum and drive your organisation’s goals forward.
Case studies
EA Earth Action
EA – Earth Action
Challenge: In the lead-up to the third round of negotiations for the UN Global Plastics Treaty, EA Earth Action sought to engage key industry stakeholders and UN delegates to advance its mission: promoting the adoption and scaling of a unified, up-to-date framework to combat plastic pollution.
Solution: With support from Higginson Strategy, EA Earth Action organised three impactful events in Nairobi. These included a panel discussion, a networking session, and an immersive roundtable held in partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), South Pole, rePurpose, the Plastic Footprint Network, and TakaTaka Solutions.
Higginson Strategy secured the participation of high-profile stakeholders, including policy advisors from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, representatives from the Norwegian and Indonesian governments, and executives from Fortune 500 companies such as Mars.
Outcome: The events successfully rallied support from global industry leaders, aligned NGOs, and UN delegates for a comprehensive global policy framework addressing all stages of the plastic lifecycle. EA Earth Action strengthened its ties with both industry and government representatives, paving the way for continued collaboration in subsequent UN negotiations.
Plastic Soup Foundation
Plastic Soup Foundation
Challenge: Plastic Soup Foundation sought support for an event to spotlight its research on the link between plastic and human health, while urging policymakers to implement stricter regulations on plastic.
Solution: Higginson Strategy supported Plastic Soup Foundation with the planning and delivery of the global Plastic Health Summit for three years. In 2023, we brought together a private symposium which welcomed global business leaders, European politicians, global climate scientists and environment NGOs. Attendees discussed solutions to plastic pollution and combined their brainpower in the form of a White Paper document to call for change.
Research released in the run-up to the event was covered by multiple UK national and Europe-wide titles, including the Daily Mail, The Times and Euronews.
Outcome: With our campaign support, Plastic Soup Foundation’s work has helped to put the impact of plastic on human health in both the national media’s conscious and within the UN Global Plastics Treaty negotiations.
Clean Cities
Clean Cities
Challenge: Clean Cities aims to elevate London’s ambitions beyond the Ultra Low Emission Zone, striving to position the city as a global leader in zero-emission mobility. Its primary focus was engaging businesses operating in the capital to support this vision.
Solution: Higginson Strategy partnered with Clean Cities to craft a comprehensive plan for business engagement, driving momentum for the Mayor to advance London toward a zero-emission zone. This included promoting the annual cargo bike cruise, which achieved its largest turnout yet with over 80 bikes, drew MPs to the event, and secured national media coverage in outlets such as Forbes and the Evening Standard.
Additionally, the campaign advocated for the extension of critical policies, such as the zero-emission vehicle congestion charge exemption, which aids small businesses in transitioning to electric vehicles. Together with Clean Cities, we secured over 40 business signatories—including AA, BT, Ocado, and various SMEs—for an open letter urging the Mayor to extend the exemption. This letter was featured exclusively in The Guardian, with subsequent coverage in major outlets including the BBC News and CityAM.
Outcome: Through this strategic public relations campaign, Clean Cities amplified their influence across London, successfully engaging businesses, MPs, and councillors in their mission to create a zero-emission city.
