It’s my pleasure to share with you the latest episode of the Communicating Purpose podcast with Kamil Hussain, Director of Communications & Partnerships at RAND Europe.
Regarded as the first ever “think tank”, RAND was established after WWII as a US government-funded research institution specialising in military and diplomatic thought. Its researchers developed many of the principles that were used to build the Internet.
Today, the non-profit uses research and analysis to improve policy in the fields of public health, home and international affairs, defence and security, and science and emerging technologies.
Kamil’s wealth of expertise has been honed through his previous leadership positions as the Commercial Director of Partnerships at Tortoise Media and Deputy Director of External Relations at Chatham House.
In this episode, we discussed.
🐢The Guardian journalist strike and Tortoise Media takeover of the Observer
📜Chatham House’s Rule and the importance of open dialogue
🗣️Kamil’s work increasing the involvement of underrepresented communities in policy discussions
⚖️Why Chatham House should have been more courageous during the Brexit referendum debate
I hope you enjoy.
