It’s my pleasure to share with you the latest episode of the Communicating Purpose podcast with Henry Gregg, Director of External Affairs at Asthma + Lung UK (ALUK).
ALUK is one of the UK’s leading charities tackling the root causes of asthma and other respiratory conditions. Founded in 2020, it was formed through a merger between Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation.
In addition to his work at ALUK, Henry is Chair of the Taskforce for Lung Health, a group bringing together England’s most influential voices working in the space.
He is also a Trustee of Gingerbread, a charity advocating for the needs of single-parent families.
Prior to joining ALUK, Henry held a variety of communications and campaigns positions, including roles in the housing association sector at Circle Housing Group and the National Housing Federation. Henry also served as the press officer for Mary Creagh CBE MP – the current Minister for Nature – twenty years ago.
In this episode, we uncovered:
🚭ALUK’s journey advocating for clean air measures amid a divided political and public landscape
🗣️The importance of on-the-ground engagement in breaking down communication barriers
🏘️How Henry raised the parliamentary profile of social housing to the tune of £8.4 billion in funding
📧Why the deliverer of the message is often as important as the message itself
I hope you enjoy.
