Higginson Strategy’s Approach

1. Preparation

To kick off our support, we host an initial strategy session to understand your organisation and any current challenges or risks.

From this session, we put together a detailed crisis management framework outlining key contacts, sign-off processes and a range of scenarios planned. This includes the development of a “tricky questions” grid with drafted answers.

From the get go, Higginson Strategy offers daily media monitoring for your brand using Cision to assess potential risks including harmful campaigns, relevant legislation and social media comments. We highlight any issues immediately.

2. Crisis

Should a crisis occur, Higginson Strategy’s co-founders John and Clodagh Higginson, who have more than 40 years of UK and US media experience between them, will lead all communications and be available out of hours.

When needed, the team will offer immediate senior counsel to discuss next steps and draft comments when necessary.

3. Reporting

Following a crisis situation, Higginson Strategy will share relevant analysis of the impact of the crisis and response, and highlight steps taken to prevent future incidents from occurring.
