Challenge
Behind the scenes pro-European cross-party campaign group Best for Britain was leading the fight to ensure the U.K. maintained the closest possible relationship with the European Union. However, their excellent research and grass-roots campaigning were not reaching as wide an audience as they deserved.
Solution
Harnessing Higginson’s unrivalled connections in the political press and Best for Britain’s relationships in Westminster, ahead of the 2019 U.K. General Election, Higginson arranged a series of high-profile press conferences to demonstrate Best for Britain’s research and messaging on tactical voting.
Outcome
These press conferences were attended by the country’s leading political journalists from both TV and print. This ensured that Best for Britain’s research and messaging on tactical voting was seen across the country in the run-in to the election. This included securing the front page of The Observer the Sunday before polling day.
