Note: Clodagh Higginson is on a sabbatical working for Vince Cable’s office from January 7 2019.

Clodagh was ITV Good Morning Britain’s political correspondent up until 2017 where she deciphered the twists and turns of Brexit for millions of viewers each morning. Before this she worked as Whitehall Editor of The Sun for five years. Having joined The Sun as a general news reporter in 2000, she has worked across the breadth of the paper including roles as Los Angeles Correspondent, Consumer Affairs Editor, Home Affairs Correspondent, Acting Business Editor and Political Correspondent.

She has an impressive history of breaking exclusive political stories and one of her key strengths is making complex political stories relatable to the British public.

Good Morning Britain Editor, Neil Thompson, said: “Clodagh is a first class political journalist, skilled at decoding and animating those complicated but important stories from the corridors of power with the very best of her Westminster-based breed.”
